Hi! We're heading off on a 40-day road trip across the great USA, starting Friday, April 9, 2010. Here, we hope to capture all the times - good, bad and ugly - to share with friends and family and to have as a record of what we hope to be an amazing adventure.

We plan to update every day or two and would love to hear from you - we'll miss you, you know.

Day 3...Virginia/South Carolina

We are now sitting in our hotel room in Charleston, SC after a 7-hour drive from Virginia Beach.

We woke up this morning and headed to Rudee's for brunch with Reggie and Daryll - delicious food and beautiful waterfront seating on porch-style swings - and then took a walk on the beach.  It was probably about 70 degrees, not a cloud in the sky.  Thanks again Reggie & Daryll for hosting us :)



So far, all I know about South Carolina from experience is that their sunsets are actually as beautiful as their license plate makes you think they are - can't wait to explore tomorrow after free La Quinta breakfast...yum.
