Hi! We're heading off on a 40-day road trip across the great USA, starting Friday, April 9, 2010. Here, we hope to capture all the times - good, bad and ugly - to share with friends and family and to have as a record of what we hope to be an amazing adventure.

We plan to update every day or two and would love to hear from you - we'll miss you, you know.

Less than 24 hours to go...

Well, we are finally in the midst of packing for this 40-day adventure.  It's quite the process, but really, at the end of the day, anything we forget, we can pick up along the way.  This morning we went at 8:00 AM to pick up our new best friend, a 2008 Toyota Rav4, which made us realize how real this trip has become.  The problem with driving, as opposed to all the flying we're used to, is there's no snooty airline telling you how heavy your suitcase can be or how many carry-ons you can take - hopefully our Rav4 knows what she's in for.

    Andy still better set his baseball lineup.
    and in just about 40 days you end your big roadtrip in Manhattan to see Pearl Jam....Nice!
